Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust (MDEAT) invites you to participate in an upcoming series of community town hall meetings focused on discussing key initiatives outlined in our 2024 Advocacy Agenda, which was developed based on our Disparity Study on the Black community here in Miami-Dade County.
New Jerusalem Primitive Baptist Church
Town Hall Meeting Objectives: addressing key issues such as:
- Economics: Strategies to enhance the economic participation of TUA-owned businesses, including the reinstatement and modernization of the Black Business Enterprise Program.
- Housing: Innovative solutions to increase housing affordability, including zoning reforms and leveraging Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds.
- Youth: The importance of early childhood education, industry-recognized credentials, and legal protections for our youth during police interactions.
