Professional Standards Background Checks

Professional Standards Background Checks (PSBC) is a newly founded company that launched April 2020. PSBC uses digital fingerprinting that's captured via National WebCheck hardware and submit its data electronically to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation (BCI&I) and/or the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Varies professions such as, municipal and state employees, teachers, childcare providers, nurses, police officers and firefighters (just to name a few) are State Mandated to have their employees' background vetted. Because the new normal is that you are who you hire, employers are finding the need to know more about their potential staff. Some employers accept background check reports directly from their job candidates. Unfortunately, this practice poses the risk of receiving fraudulent background information that can show no criminal history from individuals who may not be eligible to work within certain work environments.
