Actively Black is a Black-owned premium athleisure and sports apparel brand founded in November 2020 by former professional basketball player Lanny Smith. Smith built the brand to represent, uplift and reinvest in the Black community, offering an alternative to major sportswear companies that profit from Black culture and talent.
The brand makes pro-level performance and lifestyle gear for men, women and youth, including performance tech crewnecks and joggers, leggings, sports bras, biker shorts, golf and tennis pieces, plus collaborations celebrating Black icons. It has outfitted the Nigerian Bobsled Team for the Olympics and partnered with Marvel on Wakanda Athletics.
