BeautyStat Cosmetics

433 West 21st Street, Suite 2C, New York 10011, New York, United States
Business Details

BeautyStat Cosmetics is the skincare line of cosmetic chemist Ron Robinson, born in Brooklyn in 1965 to Caribbean immigrant parents and trained in chemistry and biology at Adelphi University. Robinson spent roughly a decade at Estee Lauder working on Clinique, Aramis and La Mer, and held senior roles at Lancome, Revlon and Avon before going independent. BeautyStat began in 2009 as a chemist-run product-review blog, added e-commerce in 2013, and launched the BeautyStat Cosmetics product line in 2019.

The hero product is the Universal C Skin Refiner, built on a patented method Robinson developed to stabilize pure L-ascorbic acid, the result of five years of self-funded research and three patents. The company keeps offices at 433 West 21st Street in Chelsea, Manhattan; Suite 2C is a working office rather than a retail storefront, so products are bought online. Customer service is staffed Monday through Friday on a toll-free line.

Robinson also formulated Hailey Bieber's Rhode skincare line, acquired by e.l.f. Beauty in May 2025, and co-launched the teen brand Yes Day in October 2025. Shop the line online or call with a question.
