The company pledges 5% of gross profits to nonprofits across America that support youth development and youth programming, which is where its brewing with purpose line comes from. It is believed to be the first Black-owned coffee brand to reach national retail distribution at scale, and it is widely stocked in major grocery chains. The business is online-only with no storefront: the headquarters address published in its terms of service is a Des Moines, Iowa PO box.
