Bolé Road Textiles

1056 Bedford Ave, Brooklyn 11205, New York, United States
Business Details

Bolé Road Textiles is the Brooklyn design studio of Hana Getachew, an Ethiopian-born interior designer who builds her collections around handwoven cotton produced by artisan weavers in Ethiopia. The line covers pillows and cushion covers, throws and blankets, table linens, napkins and runners, bath and bed textiles, rugs and curtains, all in the geometric patterns and clear color combinations drawn from Ethiopian weaving tradition and translated for contemporary interiors.

The weavers are long-term partners paid fair wages, and the brand is open about that relationship rather than treating it as marketing.

Bolé Road's work has appeared in national design press and in hospitality projects, and the studio at 1056 Bedford Avenue welcomes visits — by appointment is best, so call or email first. For textiles with real craft, real color and a direct line back to the hands that wove them, this Black woman-owned studio is a standout.
