The Lip Bar is a Black woman-owned vegan beauty brand, and its flagship store sits at 1444 Woodward Ave in the heart of downtown Detroit — about a mile from the riverfront and a short walk from most of the city center.

The brand's premise is maximum impact, minimal effort: beauty products designed to work for your complexion without a twelve-step routine. Everything is vegan and cruelty-free, and the shade ranges are built for the full span of skin tones rather than treating deeper shades as an afterthought. You can shop by shade family — ivory, honey, caramel, cinnamon, mocha, ebony — which makes finding your match considerably less of a guessing game.

The Detroit store is more than a shelf of products. It offers one-on-one learning experiences for people who want to actually be taught how to use what they buy, glam services, a brow bar, and private events. Stop in on your way to lunch, before a concert, or while you are exploring the city.

Store hours run Monday through Thursday 11am to 7pm, Friday and Saturday 11am to 8pm, and Sunday 11am to 6pm. The full line is also available online and ships nationwide.
