Derrick and Darrens Barbershop has been a fixture at 11261 Triangle Lane in Wheaton, Silver Spring, Maryland, since 1996. Mr. Derrick has spent decades turning out some of the best cuts in the state, and the shop has become a family affair, with his son working alongside him as one of the shop's top barbers.
The chairs are open to men and women of all backgrounds — cuts, fades, tapers, flattops, trims and shaves. The staff is bilingual and includes Dominican stylists, and customers often point to how the barbers tailor each cut to the individual instead of giving everyone the same look.
