EADEM

EADEM is a skincare brand co-founded by Marie Kouadio Amouzame and Alice Lin Glover, built to answer a question the beauty industry had been dodging: why should anyone have to choose between skincare that works and skincare made with their skin in mind?

Marie grew up in Paris and still remembers being told at a counter that her shade was not carried. Alice grew up as a second-generation Taiwanese American, caught between her family's rituals and a narrow American beauty standard. They met over a decade ago bonding over skincare spreadsheets and overweight suitcases from Seoul, and EADEM came out of that friendship.

The products are everyday skin and lip care, formulated from scratch rather than adapted from an existing base, and comprehensively tested across all skin types and tones. The approach is created by chemists, validated by dermatologists, and proven through clinical testing — American dermatology paired with Korean innovation. Byrdie has called it pioneering "Smart Melanin Beauty."

The name means "the same" in Latin, which the founders explain this way: despite our differences, we share the same desire to feel confident in our own skin.
