OVERVIEW
We’re EarthShine Glitter, and we make glitter for the future! When we initially learned that glitter is made from plastic, our hearts sunk, knowing that what we wash down the drain eventually ends up in the ocean. Scientists report over 12 million tons of plastic makes its way into the ocean each year. For perspective, that's 250,000 dump trucks full of plastic, every year. Major cosmetic brands are essentially selling us pollution on a massive scale. We couldn’t stand to be part of the problem, so we started brainstorming solutions. We’ve come up with a biodegradable, plant-based glitter that’s safe for the oceans, extremely sparkly, and twice as soft as normal glitter!
