Effortless Composition describes itself on its own about page as a black owned home decor store, selling eclectic collections of handcrafted goods. The goods are made by local artisans from inner-city communities, sourced both in Istanbul and, in the shop's words, right in our own Los Angeles backyard, which means a single order can carry work from two very different places. The range covers pillows, throws, vases, candle holders, decorative bowls and kitchen and dining pieces, so it leans toward the smaller things that finish a room rather than large furniture.
The shop was founded by Brittiny Terry and is based in Los Angeles, selling online only with no storefront to visit. At the moment the site is running a sitewide discount on orders over twenty-five dollars and a number of products are showing as sold out, so anything you have your eye on is worth acting on sooner rather than later.
Inquiries go to the published contact address. For handcrafted home pieces with the maker communities named rather than hidden, this is a small shop worth a look. Browse what is still in stock online.
