Iconoclast Fitness is a personal-training gym in Manhattan's Flatiron District, opened in September 2018 by Ngo Okafor, who describes it as New York's premier personal training gym, the place where the city's elite come to break a sweat. Okafor was born in Massachusetts, grew up largely in Nigeria, and worked as a model and actor before becoming a two-time Golden Gloves boxing champion; he trained clients at Equinox before going independent.
The gym's specialty is body transformation through his signature Ngo Effect method, sold as 7-, 14- and 28-day programs, with one-on-one training available in person or virtually. Clients include actors and public figures preparing for film roles, red-carpet appearances, runway shows and photoshoots. The gym also runs as a coworking-style space for independent personal trainers who need somewhere to train their own clients.
You will find it on the fifth floor at 210 Fifth Avenue, between 25th and 26th Streets, and the phone number is published on the site. If you want structured one-on-one coaching rather than a floor full of machines, get in touch and set up a session.
