Linoto was founded in 2007 by Jason Evege, its founder and creative director, who holds a fashion design degree from the University of Cincinnati. He started the company from home after failing to find well-made linen sheets in modern styles at a fair price, and sold more than 120 sheet sets in the first twelve months. Everything is made at the company's own workshop in Westchester County, New York, and it has since filled over 10,000 orders.
The range covers linen bedding, including sheet sets, pillowcases, duvet covers and quilted coverlets, along with spa and bath towels, kitchen towels, tablecloths, napkins, blankets, boxer shorts and artisanal soap. Italian and Belgian linen is used throughout, and pieces are chalk-marked, cut with tailor shears, sewn, washed with natural soap and shipped plastic-free. The business operates as Jargonlab Inc.
doing business as Linoto, and its workshop and headquarters sit in Buchanan, New York, about forty miles north of New York City rather than in the five boroughs. Orders are placed online, and the toll-free line spells 888-9-LINOTO. Browse the linens or call with a question.
