Maison Noir Wines

1271 NE Highway 99W #158, McMinnville 97128, Oregon, United States
Business Details

Maison Noir Wines is an online direct-to-consumer wine label founded in 2007 by Andre Hueston Mack, one of the best-known Black winemakers in the United States. Mack left a career at Citicorp Investment Services for wine, was named Best Young Sommelier in America by the Chaine des Rotisseurs, and served as head sommelier at Thomas Keller's The French Laundry and Per Se before starting his own label.

The wines are sourced and made largely in Oregon's Willamette Valley through partnerships with growers and winemakers, and the bottles are known as much for their irreverent, graphic-design-forward labels as for what is inside, among them O.P.P., short for Other People's Pinot, and the Love Drunk rose. Wine is sold directly to customers through the website and also reaches restaurant and retail trade accounts. There is no public tasting room to visit: the McMinnville, Oregon address is a mailing suite, and the phone line takes voicemail, with the company replying by email.

Legacy social accounts still run under the earlier Mouton Noir Wines name, which is useful to know when you are looking the brand up. Browse the current releases and order today.
