Octave Jewelry is the Brooklyn fine-jewelry studio of designer Ope Omojola, working out of Bed-Stuy. The pieces are geometric and quietly modern: hoops, studs and drop earrings, stacking and statement rings, pendants and necklaces, often built around hand-cut stones including opal, pearl, moonstone and other colored gems set in gold and silver.
Omojola cuts and finishes many stones herself, which is why the shapes are unusual and why no two pieces are quite identical. Production is small-batch and made to order in many cases, and custom commissions — including engagement and wedding pieces — are part of the practice.
