Pat McGrath Labs is a luxury color cosmetics line founded by British makeup artist Dame Pat McGrath, widely regarded as the most influential makeup artist in fashion. It launched in 2015 with a single product, the Gold 001 metallic pigment, which sold out almost immediately, and a permanent core collection followed. The brand is known for MatteTrance lipstick, Mothership eyeshadow palettes and Skin Fetish highlighters, sold at Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom and Selfridges as well as direct.
Its corporate office is in Manhattan's Flatiron District at 126 5th Avenue; the business is direct-to-consumer and wholesale, with no retail store of its own to visit. The company reported roughly fifty million dollars in revenue in 2024 after once carrying a billion-dollar valuation, and went through a restructuring in early 2026 that ended with a thirty-million-dollar investment from GDA Luma and an approved exit plan under which McGrath hands her equity to the new owner while staying on in a creative role.
