Cristel Claman, an entrepreneur from Guadeloupe in the Caribbean, created Roots Éditions three years because of her daughter. She realized how complicated it was to find books in French-speaking countries that promote the Afro culture for kids through self-esteem, self-confidence, leadership or history. Roots Éditions translate beautiful books for children into French and publish Black French-speaking authors as well. We create literary event where the public can meet the authors. The aim is to help children understand how capable they are of doing anything, love themselves and know about their own history. Our books are for children who want to learn French, Improve their French or who already speak French.
