Sheila Bridges Design, Inc. is the Harlem-based firm of interior designer Sheila Bridges, who has practiced in the neighborhood for more than three decades. She is best known for Harlem Toile de Jouy, a reimagining of classic French toile that replaces its pastoral scenes with scenes of African-American life; the pattern is held in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
The shop sells wallpaper, fabric, home furnishings and accessories, and the studio runs a full interior design practice alongside the product line. Collaborations listed on the site include Williams Sonoma, Gingerlily and Wedgwood. Bridges has been named America's Best Interior Designer by Time magazine and CNN, and her clients have included former President Clinton and Vice President Harris. Two related entities carry the work, Sheila Bridges Design, Inc.
and Sheila Bridges Home, Inc. There is no walk-in address or phone published; the studio is reached through the contact form on its site, and the online shop ships direct. Whether you are papering a single room or planning a whole project, browse the collection or send a note through the site.
