Sincerely, Tommy is a Bed-Stuy concept store founded in 2014 by Kai Avent-deLeon, who co-owns it with her mother, Linda. The shop describes itself as a Brooklyn based concept store focusing on emerging women's wear and lifestyle brands, and that is what fills it: clothing, accessories, natural body products and home goods from emerging local and international designers.
For many of those designers, the shelves here are their first brick-and-mortar placement anywhere. The store is also part cafe, with an in-store coffee bar from Lakawanna Coffee and window seating, so you can browse, sit with a coffee and watch Tompkins Avenue go by. It is open daily from 8am to 6pm at 343 Tompkins Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, and the website is shoppable if you would rather order from home.
Supporting the shop supports a mother-and-daughter business that has spent more than a decade giving new designers their first shelf space in New York. Stop in for a coffee and see what the current buy looks like.
Sincerely, Tommy
