Southern Office-Based Anesthesia

Southern Office-Based Anesthesia, known as SOBA, is a mobile dental anesthesia practice based in Henderson, North Carolina. Rather than sending patients to a hospital for dental work under sedation, SOBA brings hospital-grade anesthesia care directly into the dental office, so treatment can happen in a familiar setting with the patient's own dentist. The practice is led by Dr. Braxton M. Henderson, a dentist anesthesiologist.

SOBA specializes in patients who cannot comfortably or safely be treated with local anesthesia alone. That includes young children, patients with special needs or disabilities, people with severe dental anxiety or strong gag reflexes, and medically compromised patients who need close monitoring.
