The Brooklyn Circus

150 Nevins Street, Brooklyn 11217, New York, United States
Business Details

The Brooklyn Circus has been shaping how Brooklyn dresses since Ouigi Theodore opened the doors on Nevins Street in 2006. The store's take on heritage Americana — varsity and bomber jackets, selvedge denim, chinos, peacoats, knit caps, printed tees and hand-numbered pieces — is built around a simple idea the shop calls the 100-year plan: clothes and a culture worth passing down.

Racks are styled like a well-kept closet, staff will talk fit and history as long as you want, and the shop has long doubled as a hangout for creatives in the neighborhood. A second location opened on Canal Street in Manhattan in 2024.

Hours can shift, so a quick call before you visit is a good idea. If you want menswear with craftsmanship, story and a Black-owned legacy in Brooklyn behind it, The Brooklyn Circus is a landmark.
