Undefined Beauty is a plant-forward skincare brand founded in 2018 by Dorian Morris, who launched it at Indie Beauty Expo that August after a career in mainstream CPG marketing. She describes the products as clean-ical plant magic: clean, conscious and inclusive formulas meant to boost, brighten and protect the skin barrier.
The brand started as a CBD beauty line with the Glow Elixir face oil, Glow Drops tincture and CBD-infused vegan Glow Bars, and has since expanded past CBD with the adaptogenic-mushroom R&R Collection, a cleanser, day and night serums and a gel-creme priced around twenty-four to twenty-eight dollars, plus sun protection, brightening, hydration and hair wellness products. It rolled out to roughly 500 Whole Foods Market locations in 2021 and was named winner of ThirdLove's TL Effect program supporting female entrepreneurs of color in November 2021. The company is based in San Francisco, California, sells online only with no storefront, and now trades as Undefined Inc at undefinedco.com, replacing its earlier web address.
