William Okpo is a New York womenswear label run by sisters Darlene and Lizzy Okpo, daughters of Nigerian immigrants, who named the brand after their father. Their point of view blends their parents' style into what they describe as modern feminine designs with touches of masculine elements.
Garments are New York-made through a network of handmade sewers rather than one large manufacturer, and typical customer spend runs between $200 and $350. The sisters have shifted from four collections a year to a single yearly collection with pieces added gradually; current collections include the Sunday's Best Series and a Plaid collection, and the site also carries a small Beauty section. WWD marked the label's tenth anniversary in a 2020 feature, which also noted the Seaport District retail store the sisters ran until 2018; the Fulton Street address published on the site today is a mailing address rather than a shop you can visit.
