Golde was founded in 2017 by Trinity Mouzon Wofford and Issey Kobori, who started the brand in Brooklyn in their twenties with roughly $1,500. It is best known for superfood latte blends, Original Turmeric and Cacao Turmeric, alongside Pure Matcha and Kyoto Hojicha, and the range extends to the Superwhisk frother, face masks, cookbooks and bundles built around what the brand calls a home cafe ritual.

The whole thing is positioned explicitly against exclusionary, high-priced wellness; the pitch is accessibility and approachability, and Mouzon Wofford became one of the youngest Black women ever to launch a brand at Sephora. Golde sells direct online with national retail distribution through Target, Sephora and Whole Foods, and has no storefront of its own. The company is Brooklyn-born and still Brooklyn-identified, though the mailing address published in its privacy policy is 217 Centre Street in Manhattan, which is an administrative address rather than a public office.
